Bore and Stroke

Default Bore and Stroke

when a car has more torque than hp, is the bore bigger than the stroke? or other way around... can sumbody explain?

stroke increases torque more than hp and bore increases hp more than torque either way you will see gains. shorter the stroke faster it will rev up making your peak power at a higher rpm. longer stroke revs slower but your peak power is there alot sooner. it all depends on what your using the car for. my b16 is stroked to a 1.7liter and its set perfect for road racing redlineing at 10,000 make sure ur valve train is adicuite.

any increase in displacement will increase torque. the reason stroking increases it more is because it increases the displacement more.
