b16 swap help, wiring harness.....searched
Hey fellow honda/acura fiends. New to Honda-Tech so a big hello to everyone out there. anyways on to the problem at hand.
I have a 96 EX coupe that I am swapping in a b16a from an SIR-II that I got from HMotorsonline.com. we got the engine in the car but the shop im having do the swap (I lack the time, money, equipment and knowladge to do the swap myself) having a hell of a time with the wiring harness. The mechanic said that none of the plugs are matching up. From what I've looked up already I think this is because my car is OBD2 and the motor is OBD1. I got the complete swap from hmotors which included:
- Motor
- Hydraulic Tranny (S21, Y21)
- ECU (P30)
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Engine Harness
Do I need a conversion harness for this or not? If not, what needs to be done to get this to work. Im kinda at crunch time due to HIN Chicago being in a week.
Any help would be greatly appriceated. Thanks in advance.

you will need to reuse the harness that was on your car. rewire the injector harness to obd2 reuse your stock injectors or buy obd2 gsr/00 si.
get obd2 alternator, repin or replace distributor for obd2. Use a 96-98 b16 ecu
