wideband o2 sensor: do you use it daily or just for tunning?
im looking into wide bands (im leaning towards the plx m-300) but while searching i see theres alot of different replies about when the people use them..... so say that they have there w.b's everyday and then i hear others say that they only use them when tunning.....
are there any benefits to using your wb all the time?? and are there any disadvantages??? (i hear that this will damage the o2, anything else?)

I use it for both. I like to know my AFR and spot any inconsistencies that may occur during a normal drive. A replacement sensor for mine is $60 and it should last a good amount of time.
i have to use it daily because the wb is implimented in my EMS, i havn't drove it much but it should last long just depends where u mount the sensor. i think 18 inches fromt eh downpipe? not sure about that i'll get back on you on that!

its to monitor you a/f settings.....if something goes a lil wrong or motor is running different that might tell you a little something....changes in temps can cause a/f ratio's to change

I haven't had any serious problems after the tune, but having the piece of mind that I know what the AFR is all the time is a reassuring thought for me.
I am using the Zeitronix sensor with display and boost sensor, so it is an A/F ratio and boost gauge at the same time.
Since I street tune it, it is hard to cover all loads and rpms to make the AFR's just right. Sometimes there is a hiccup and I know how lean or rich it is running.

I use mine all the time(AEM UEGO). If you get a batch of bad gas it will affect your A/F ratio. So better safe than sorry. Especially since I drive a highly modified rotory too. It's a ticking time bomb
But I have a switch to turn mine off. Sometimes the flashing lights get anoying, especially at night.

me too. this is the second one that i use in my exhaust all the time. btw it is the plx m-300.
