Myself if I had the money would look into the type R swap. I'm assuming that you mean the B18? It has a better reputation in my opinion. Good Luck!

I couldn't tell you for certain. A quick google search on power ratings for each engine should tell you that. I mainly suggest it because I've heard of the H22s not having the strongest block out there. If your really gonna pour money into it, you wanna make sure that sucker is reinforced and not gonna blow out. I have neither engine though so I can't say much. I've got a SOHC VTEC D16 in mine. Still fun though, haha.

I'm interested to see if this car project really gets going. Please post up when/if you get it. Good luck again.

Welcome. If you will have almost 6 grand once you sell your car and get that, put a K series into it. Use the search feature and you will find a wealth of information here.

my vote is K20, and possibly enough left for boost.

i dont think its necessary to spend all that money on niether swap, unless you dont care how much u spend, you know what you can do to a b16 or a gsr with that much money?!?! wit 6k you could even go b20 vtec sleeves and all that will be a beast. no need for really expensive swaps buy cheaper motors and do more to it, trust me theres nothing like putting a beat down on a type r, gsr, rsx, etc with a b16 lol good luck

so you are saying why not just boost the holy terror out of a D???? the facts are that the better foundation or base you start with the more power you will end up with. sure it will cost more, but if you are gonna spend $4k on a swap why not make it worth while.
