Default which tranny has better gearing for daily driven all motor itr or b16 with ls 5th

looking to decide which tranny i want to have for my all motor ls setup. eventually im going to do the dreaded lsvtec, but in the mean time its going to be a mildly built ls. so my question is which tarnny would be better for a street driven car. i dont do tracks or strips, but yes i like to lite her up on the road every so often, but i still need drive ability. im debating between a jdm itr with 4.78 fd or getting a b16 and swapping an ls 5th gear in it. an imput is appreciated

jdm itr = b16 1-3, gsr 4-5 with 4.785 final drive + lsd

there's no debate here, JDM ITR because of the 4.785.

check the sig

Well....either of those set ups would be good for a daily driver but your b16 solution would cost you more. I'm not completely sure but isn't one cable and one hydro....I guess that might depend on what b16 your talkin about because thats an engine not a transmission name.

not really. B16 trannys go for like 700. and you can get a 5th gear from honda for like 150. my friend just paid 1400 for a jdm itr
