thanks
my idea is to take one of the spaces on the cluster like the SRS light (since i dont have airbags anymore) and making the bulb, light up at redline basically w/o a tach.
would i need a relay?
for the power, signal and ground?
thanks again

The blue wire is the rpm signal. You can't easily make a shift light without using some sort or relays or switches.

would this work? also id have a inline fuse going from the battery of course
so thats power and ground, and then one side from the blue wire of the dizzy (signal) to the bulb in the cluster

You'll need an rpm activated switch.

I'm sure it is possible, but I don't know how. they aren't that expensive though.

hmm i wonder if a variable resistor or a potentiometer would do the trick. so it would close the circuit at a certain voltage, higher voltage = higher rpm

yeah, that would work if you can figure out what the exact voltage is in the tach wire when you're at redline.
