Default LS: Coolant hose on thermostat housing?

After changing my headgasket and installing my headstuds on my teg, I found this coolant line that's connected to the thermostat housing (it's really small, about the size of a larger vac line). I have no clue where this hooks up to, and I know it's causing an idle issue because my Idle Air coolant valve (I'm new to Honda/Acura, so I don't remember the exact name for the valve) is not getting any coolant. Where does this hook up to? Thanks guys,

Colin

It's a 91.

It looks like it gets hooked to that cluster of lines that the VC and TB are connected to, no? (No. 9 on the diagram).

The problem is that I'm boosted, so I removed that section and put a breather on the VC, while capping all of the other vac lines. Where should I put this line? thanks.

I dun understand why you would attempt something like this with out a manual...

did you install the headgasket correctly? Torque the bolts correctly? proper sequence?

Eh... this sounds... Nm... Good luck, man. Hope all goes well.

When installing a headgasket the only manditory torque specs you need are for the headstuds. ARP supplied those for me, and everything else is common sense (cam covers, etc). I bought this thing hoping to turn around and sell it, so buying a service manual to do a headgasket didn't seem logical.

Anyone else have an idea of where I need to run this coolant line. As I stated before, I removed the cluster of vac lines that hooks the VC, TB, and the lines that go to the intake charge. Does this coolant line hook into that cluster of lines (hard to tell from the pic)? If so, where should I route it? Thanks.

HAHHAA....are you serIOUS? Dood...you are begging for trouble. Take the time to buy a manual, retorque the head studs in proper order.

God has shined his light on you by not letting you complete your build because of the coolant hose.

Did you torque the studs (themselves) into the block prior to installing the head?

... I installed it per an online manual, I looked at it for the sequence...

Thanks for answering my question, you're helping quite a bit

Maybe I'll just stick to HMT, I get great help here
