Default Running without coolant lines to IAC and T/B ?

Since I live in Miami and the average temperature if pretty stable (around 85F). What would happen if I were to remove the coolant lines that run to the throttle body and the IAC ? What do these coolant lines do ? I know that Honda put 'em there for a reason, but what ?

IAC doesnt use wax, you are referring to the Fast idle thermo valve.
We do not run coolant through the TB or the IACV with 0 problems.
If you have a fast idle valve, just remove it completely and seal up the hole.

So should I or should I not eliminate these lines ? Upsides and downsides ? What exactly does the coolant to the T/B do ?

the coolant heats the TB in cold weather to reduce the chances of it sticking.

Remove em. you dont need em.

Alrightly they, don't need the coolant lines to run thru the IACV or T/B... they come off tonite. Just cuz you prolly know... what is the purpose of the line to the IACV ? To help idle while the car warms up from a cold start ?

One thing we noticed when we swapped a Y8 intake mani on to my friends Y7 and bypassed the IACV/TB coolant lines, was a higher idle when cold, and a tendency for the idle to "hang" around 1000rpm for a few after you place the car in neutral or clutch in.. but I think it's a small little habit which you'll probably over look anyways.

Prolly need a new IACV anyways.... getting intermittent drops in idle once the car is warmed up (in neutral)
