can any1 link a post that tells you how to install a aftermarket tach properly? thanks

red wire======= power source
black wire====== ground
blue or green=== green wire on dizzy

you dont have to run a wire to the dizzy. all modles came with the same wire harness so there is a wire going to your gauge cluster that you can tap into. i forget which one it is, i did mine a wile ago. but its alot easier then running a wire to the engine.

edit: its the blue wire. use that .

the tachNOmeter is what you bring into raves to find out how lame they are, lol.

anyway, You can just read the wiring diagrams for your car and hook the rpm lead to the harness by the computer. Less wires in the bay looks better. Plus the wire is protected from the elements. good luck with the install!

ya i only have a aftermarket tach cuz iv got a dx and it was easier then finding a new cluster.

Yes it is , the tach wire is light blue and you can splice at the dizzy or from behind the instrument cluster, it is the only blue wire on the cluster plugs.
