these bars seem to be a real bang for your buck, espically for me as i dont need a full cage. My car is still daily driven and tracked on weekends, it would be nice for a little extra safety at a low cost.

is anyone running the 8pt?

You mean for the "strip", right?

I suppose that'd be fine, but it is a drag cage. Those diagonal front bars give it away.

none of those cages would be legal for SCCA/NASA or any solo1, time trial, road race event. If you want a bolt in cage, try Kirk or Autopower. I actually would recommend spending the money and get a weld-in custom cage.

Not legal for competition, but wouldn't they be legal for HPDEing?

More than likely. Just depends on the sanctioning body. I've seen loads of cars at HPDEs with drag "cages."

You get what you pay for...............personally I'd go with an Autopower 4 pt. over that heap of tubes.

In the USA, roll bars (ie 4 pt) or cages (6+ points) usually have a cross bar from top of hoop diagonally down to floor. However, I think FIA cages do not have this requirement. I prefer the diagonal to add some rigidity to the structure.
