Default Will a stock hood work with EFB1 mounts???

I've seen a few stock hoods with b series swaps and was wondering if it would work for me? I have a B18C5 and Hasport EFB1 mounts. Any way I can get the stock hood to work?

I'm pretty sure that the engine will clear the hood...or you might have to prop the hood with washers a little for it to clear...i have EFB1 mounts too and my hood cleared my b18 LS motor

From experience, I know that the EFB2 ones won't work. My valve cover lost some paint due to those mounts.

If the EFB1 mounts are anything like the EFB2 ones (I'm 99% sure they're the same) then you will have problems.

VIS makes a siR style CF hood that will clear. The middle section goes up instead of down.

I don't mind cutting the webbing underneath. Not only will it keep the stock look but its way cheaper.

Didn't get that hood. Decided to wait for a definite answer from someone with efb1 mounts.

my b16 valve cover rubs my hood, with hasport mounts. i'm pretty sure they are the efb1 mounts. what is the difference between the 2 mounts?

Do b16's and B18's sit the same height?

i guess i thought they did. i was assuming the efb2 mounts were for hydraulic trannys, and efb1's were for cable trannys. anybody know if the zc hood clears the valve cover?

No..B18vtec motors are taller ..And the deck height of the B18a/b/c block is taller then b16a motors..

Hmmm, me would like to know also. I want to buy a stock hood and cut out the guts but I'm not gonna do it if it won't work.
