Default d15b2 with y8 swap distributor questions?

I am getting alot of conflicting info on what dist. to use on a d15b2 with a swap to a y8 head.

I have heard there is a ODB0 distro that will bolt to the Y8 heard without any problems, anyone know what one is is????

Or does anyone know what distro I should use???

Thanks, Jeff

If you're converting to mpfi you can use the 88-91 si/hf/ex dizzy ,,they all bolt up and work fine..The D15b2 dizzy works to as long as you keep the car dpfi..

Yes, I plan to keep the car DP-FI untill I can save up some more money to do it right, ecu swap chipped ect ect.

So the d15b2 dizzy should work on the Y8 head as long as I leave the fual system alone and the ECU alone......thats great news!

I will go MP-FI once I decide on an intake....not sure what to go with, venom, edlebrock, or just Y8 intake........like I said I will wait till I have the money to do it all at once...

I am replacing a junk head so while I was at it I figured it was a good time to do a Y8 swap, was just hoping I wouldnt have to do ECU conversion because of the head...but everything looks alright so far....thanks for the info!

Yeah that dizzy fits fine,,I actually have a cousin that did that..Y8 head on d15b2 block and reused intake manifold and dizzy from the D15b2 motor for now..It runs fine..The only thing wrong is the timing is off a bit,,never could fix it perfect so he plans on getting adjustable cam gear later on..

As far as intake manifolds the Y8 is good enough..Its pretty big..Its like the type-r manifold of the d-series..

Y8 belt is the same as the Z6 belt,,Except theres a difference in the price..I dont know why..They work,,But they're really, really, really, really tight.. On an a6 mini-me the 92-95 civic dx timing belt works real good,,I dont know if it would work with a D15 block though..
