Default b20vtec ?????

i am guessing that you relocate the dowel pins on the block to accomadate the location on the head but what is the purpose of the dowel pins??? another question is what is purpose of a crank girdle on a ls b20vtec buildup??

btw the way you use the stock location of the pins on the block and relocate the pins on the head, the dowel pins are used to properly place the head and block along w/ the head gasket, spend the $20 and get it done do not try to put the head on w/o these pins, the crank gridle is basicly a brace, it helps stifffen the rotating assembly so that it does not stress the cylinder walls as much w/ the lower r/s ratio. if you paln on reving more than 8k i highly reconmend getting the gridle although you need other parts such as a gsr/itr baffle, pickup,6 main bolts, and oil pan, plus there is a little machining that needs to be done to the gridle to make it fit right.

Yes, with the Z10 girdle you need the GSR oil pan. As well as all the main bolts from the GSR.

List: Z10 girdle, GSR baffle (windage tray), GSR oil pick-up tube, GSR oil pan and gasket, GSR main bolts/studs

Is it possible to use Integra Type R or any ARP products besides the GSR? The reason is because I would like to make my motor as reliable as possible since I'm building it from the ground up. Thanks for the help!

GSR or ITR oil pan and gasket
GSR or ITR pick-up tube
GSR or ITR baffle
GSR or ITR main bolts

I'm not sure if ARP even makes main studs for Honda B series engines? Even if they do the Honda main bolts will be more than enough, just use new ones to be safe. I think oem main bolts can handle two torque cycles before needing replacing; someone correct me if I'm wrong? Oem Honda parts are very reliable for this upgrade.
