Default LS tranny vs GSR tranny

i have a 93 hatch with an LS engine in it. Will there be any difference in performance with an LS trans vs. a GSR transmission? Will i notice the change??

You will notice it from 3rd gear up. What are your plans for the car?

gsr tranny has shorter gears

the short gears let you accelerate faster through gears. on freeway tho, you will be revving higher

only downside to have a gsr/itr/b16a trans....if you like cruising at 80mph, then your tach reads 4k+ rpm...unlike the ls trans 5th gear. You could be crusing at 90+ before your motor revs to 4k!

if you're going to be doing a lot of drag racing, go with the typeR or gsr tranny, but if you're looking for higher top speed or its just your everyday driver, go with the ls tranny

my buddie had an ls with a gsr tranny in his del sol.. not bad.. def better than the ls tranny.. i think it ran a 15 flat on street tires.. b16 would liven it up a ton but you also gotta remember the high Rs while highway crusing..
