i've always heard that the y8's have a bad oiling problem and the bottom end tends to go fairly quick, why not a z6 or hell a built a6

Thers nothing wrong with the y8, i swapped one into my crx and installed a home made turbo kit i put together myself, i have been running a consistent 9psi since june and have been driving hard with no problems. a y8 swap is pretty straight forward, the easiest way is to use the crx si tranny, distributor, injectors, and ecu. Keep the y8 intake manifold, all the sensors hook up, the only modification is extending the Map sensor plug from the firewall to the throttle body. everything is pretty straight forward.

if this is your first motor swap i would juss go with a single vtec swap, an ls involves alot more time and money. if you want to make more power on the y8 just boost it.
