So I have a couple of these jdm eg maplights, one that was available to all moonroof equiped models as a factory option, and the other was dealer optional equipment when you purchased the upgraded Gathers sound package for the models without moonroofs.

Before I knew anything about either of these maplights, I had came across both of these on ebay at about the same time. I ended up with both, but not knowing if both would fit. The descriptions for both items said they would both work with or without a moonroof... and I have a moonroof.

So heres some pics I took, I guess just as an informational for everyone else to see on whats what and what fits. (btw.. nothing is for sale)

1st maplight in place. Nice n snug.


Gathers maplight in place. Deffinately doesnt fit w/ moonroof equiped cars.




Not sure what im going to do yet, whether or not im going to maybe experiment with some professional headliner customization/reupholstering to fit the Gathers unit, or just rock the standard maplight. The cars in for paint right now, so ive got a little time to mess around. So we'll see..

interesting.. ive seen the maplight once.. do you know where to buy them at or what to search under in ebay by any chance ?

 

keep it clean, i sold my entire gathers setup (rear speakers and all) just to have everything look clean and not out of place.
