HELP...EXAUST QUESTION!!!
I have a 92 civic hb, i just done a b16 swap, i need to know what size exaust to run...also im putting duels on it so dose it need to be smaller than normal...as of now i have just got h/i...please help!
if your going to stay n/a id say 2.5 is as big as you would need, but may i ask why you want to run dual exhaust? theres no real reason for it and its going to be alot more expensive, it just comes across so... so... ricey

dual is too ricey all you need is a single civic look retarded if they have 2 fart cans... but if thats your style go ahead its your car just dont ask why people are laughing at you...

If your a ricer, yeah.
But since it seems like you have no idea what your talking about I guess you wouldnt know about the nicer, smaller, quieter aftermarket exhausts for a Honda.

Dual exhaust on a civic is pointless and can actually reduce HP and torque due to no backpressure
. Just stick with a single exhaust. If you just have to have two mufflers comming out the back just hang a dummie muffler to make it look like a dualexhaust.

the ones that don't know anything about a honda is the ones that get on peoples threads and diss everything...i don't want dual exhaust i just have a rear bumper that is for duals and all i wanted to know is what size exhaust...all u had to say was put a dummie on one end and something like 2.0 or 2.1 for the one with exhaust...some of u guys are funny...lol.

That's been the best response yet, and would probably be the best solution.
If you don't want to fill in the extra hole in the bumper fine someone's used catback (2.5"), minus the axle back portion and either have an exhaust shop weld in a Y pipe and make you a dual exhaust or find two muffler that you want and make your own dual exhaust axle-back.
So there are your options:
-Fill in the extra hole in the bumper
-Have a muffler shop build you a dual axle-back with a pre-bought catback
-Make a dual axle-back yourself
-Have a complete custom exhaust made at an exhaust shop.

They don't lack knowledge, they're telling you that a dual exhaust system isn't going to net you any gains.

yeah thanks!!! im just going to make a dummie on one side...i was just really wanting to know about what size i should go with cause i know that a b16 doesen't have much torque and i wanted my back pressure right that way i could keep what torque i had.
2.5 inch exhaust and then make the dual exhaust when they split off like 2 1/8's or 2 in...
only option if your gonna do it... just put smaller exhaust where it splits...

hey when did this turn into HATER TECH????? this man has a civic with a B16 swap, more than most of you. im not into body kits and dual exhaust but if thats the question atleast we can give our "hones" technical opinion instead of saying how "rediculous" it is.

Its because some people give hondas a bad name.. we like our hondas and the way they where built origionally. Even though they are slow from factory because they also sell them to girls and old people, but thats why we do motor swaps and suspension fixes, While still using most of the honda origional equipment. we like how they look, and don't try to put a farrari body kit or skyline front ends, or other ricey s**t.. We intern put a mild carbon fiber lip or something like that. small stock like spoilers are nice not some 3 foot drift spoiler on our front wheel drive cars. And spend the rest on making high performance honda power like they where designed for. Hondas where designed after their formula 1 grandfathers they then made several streatable versions like the nsx, s2000, itr, sir, gsr and many others. We should be proud of our hondas, not try to disguise them as some rare sports car there are other ways to be different. b18c5 has the most hp per liter than any other engine from the manufacter. Thats something to be proud of not try to make it look like some heavy german bmw or expensive porche. I recently beat a porche carrara we took 3 highway runs. I still beat him by 2-3 car lengths every time. he was very impresed and i was proud that my car still looked like a honda...
How would you feel if you drove a mustang and pulled up next to a nice clean jdm looking car, and when you raced it blew your socks off. You would want one... but if you raced some car that looked like a ralley skyline with euro lights, 17-18 inch wheels and two 3 inch cans on the back with a big *** honda emblem on the windshield and when the light turned green all you heard was a loud rough annoying sound next to you as you blow by him misserably. Because he had no more money to spend on the engine or other go fast items and he was heavier from all the crap bondoed to his car. thats embarising!
So what he needs to do is sell his duelley bumper to some low down kid that doesn't know what he is doing. And buy a clean nice looking stock bumper with the money and buy a single clean nice sounding exhaust apexi n1 or word sport. or something like that. than get a nice drop on some 15 inch wheels and that car would be better than most cars on here and there is plenty more he could do to make it show worthy if thats what he wants but keep it a honda....

its people like you that i really cant stand, if every honda on the street looked the same how would mine or yours be unique. i personally have z3 fenders, and white leather seats, does that make me a ricer??? NO, i dont think so, i also have I/H/E, 16" wheels (not chrome), and a pretty extensive sterio system. does that make me a ricer???? i mean what the guy down the street does has nothing to do with the way people look at me or my car. if my best friend wants duels of coarse im gonna try and talk him out of it, but i wont tell him he is ignorant, or he is modifying his car wrong. TO EACH HIS OWN. not everyone wants the fastest car on the road, hell i know atleast 2 people on this very site that are actually very interested in MPG. they spend money on MPG parts before performance, is that ricey???? im not in any way saying i like body kits, duels, stickers, or anything else, hell i hate my z3 fenders, but they looks pretty damn good on my car. let me guess you are one of them "gotta have JDM" mad tyte people. well, i say expletive JDM.
