i did the code reading for the d4 light and it came up with 7, which has something to do with the shift control selonoid valve A, can anyone tell me where that is located... its on my 1995 honda accord coupe., 4 cylinder

I think its the top one on your transmission. i think for accords the shift solenoids are located in the front of the tranny but i could be wrong. If you search around i think there is a diagram on the shift solenoids somewhere on here.

Here's an illustration of what you will be looking for. The 'A' pack (I believe) is the top-most of the two.
I have a suspission that the hard-set code may indicate a bad solenoid (and it will require replacing), but I would strongly recommend you first remove the solenoid packs and clean the servicable screens below them first.
It's cheap, and may actually help.
If it doesn't, you know what you've got to do.........

Good luck, hopefully this will address your problem

thanks guys for all the help, i fixed it and it is running very smoothly. i was about to take the part off when i looked at the wired connector i notice that one of the wires was coming out of it. so i pushed it back in, snapped connectors back together. hooked up the battery and went for a drive. runs super nice and the light is out. thank u all for your help, honda tech is right on point

And thanks for the Fix it Report. You findings will give us something else to offer as guidance.
