Do you run Coolant to IACV? Problems?
Do you run coolant to IACV? People say it will make your car idle horribly, while other say it doesnt matter.....
Im planning on NOT running it on my built turbo 450hp car......
Who runs coolant to Intake Air Control Valve?

I run coolant to the IACV (its the stock setup on a 99 si). The point of this is so in the winter time or colder months it makes the car warm up faster.
As far as why people remove it. I believe they say the hot coolant heats up the air flow going into the intake manifold. If you remove the coolant line then you will have cooler air and more performance.
Not sure how much performance your going to gain with it removed or how long it will take your car to warm up without it but I just left mine in for simplicity.
I dont think it would make your car idle horibly but i could be wrong. On my civic the IAT sensor is on the intake arm so I assume the stock "tune" takes into account the heat added by the coolant. On the other hand if you were to remove it maybe it would be better to get one of the intake manifolds that have the IAT sensor on the intake manifold instead of the intake arm for better more accurate temp readings.
Either way I dont think there is going to be a noticable difference removing it so maybe its best to leave it?
