Default h22 fuel economy?

I dunno if its been covered b4, I've searched and found zero.
I have a 92 Si hatch with a z6 with mild boltons. Im thinkin of either rebuilding and boosting or jus building all motor for my z6. But i am considering a swap.. Prolly an h22 unless i get a b series for dirt cheap. A b16 is out of the question im not gunna pay $1500+ for an extra cam. so If imma do a swap its gunna be go big or go home.If i do get an h22 im not gunna do more than i/h/e.
I was wondering what mpg an h22 gets in a hatch, or how fuel efficient it is, and if its a real bitch 2 drive with no power steering.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The no power steering part isnt that bad at all, it is only bad when you are stopped, when you are moving there is no trouble at all. As for fuel economy i still get on average about 320 mi. to one tank, so i would say you could get as good as 32 mpg or you could get as bad as 22 mpgs depending on how heavy your foot is.

it depends on what mounts you use, me and about four other guys did a h22 swap into a EG in about three days, but thats also with a load of beer in between too (but im not going there), mike says that he totalys love the swap, and yes you are able to retain power steering, its just more work, if you know someone who is good at tig welding then you can basicly keep your P/S, since you have to cut and weld the two different peices together and all, but over all, a vary nice swap

I have a momo sterring wheel and no power steering so I get an arm workout when I drive mine. My old H23VTEC (215 whp) setup was good for 27 city, 28 highway.

It seems that the H22 swap is the new B16A swap of yesteryear.

yeah you can definatly get 30 something to the gal. but about the 1500 for the extra cam your wrong, a b16 will stomp all over your z6,
