Engine bogs down in hot weather????
My car runs just fine while the outside air is cool, but when it gets warm outside it wants to bog down, studder, and throw the check engine light. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

That's also how engines kinda work. The hotter the air, the less compact, the less air your car gets, less horsepower. Ever wonder why a cold air intake works? (Although that is somewhat debatable). Just face it, the warmer weather does no good for an engine. You wait till that sun goes down and the car will feel good again.

An unmodified car should not throw check-engine lights just because it's 80 degrees out. Something is wrong, best thing to do is check the code and start there.

No idea, ask Honda.
But I doubt it was 118 degrees in Charlotte last weekend.

i know, there was a 6 day stretch here in Vegas last year where it was 116-119 degrees and not less then 100 in the night time and morning hours, it was pretty nutty, i let the EF take that week long abuse, just wondering your thoughts on that kind of weather is all

Oohps. Didnt see that part. Yea, get that thing checked out. The heat will ruin performance, but shouldnt bring up a CEL.
Yes, it will **** all over the place in heat in comparison to when its colder out. It sucks, but thats how engines work bud.

Check the code, and post the results. Until then, do not drive the vehicle.
