Default Engine preparations for possible JRSC?

I might go with a JRSC in a few months. Aside from fuel management, what can I specifically do to my stock engine to make it run safer? I burn a lot of oil so that's my main concern. Should I install the charger and wait until it blows? Or are there things I can do now to make my engine stronger/healthier before I put on the charger. I've researched a bit and it seems that 6psi belt on a stock engine is fine. How about a 9 psi belt on a stock engine with 550 injectors and good fuel management? Like I said, I burnt 4 qts in the last 5,500 miles recently. Does this sound like a bad idea for a charger? Also, going to do a compression/leak test soon if that should help me make my decision.

most people say over 7psi on stck block is bad but others say its all about the tune.
jrsc has heating issues whenever you up the psi.
i would check your compression and stuff, 4qts is alot of oil, ludes do burn alot of oil but i dont know about that much, wouldnt suprise me tho.
good fuel management and a good tune is key to any f1 from whta ive been reading.
i would install the jrsc and later down the road sleeve the cylinders and all that good stuff, but if you choose to build the block your looking at a good chunk of change.
also prospeed custom makes pulleys for the jrsc
