OK, so I put the clip in the blue service light plug and watched for the check engine light too wait for it to flash a code but it did not? So I see the ABS light flashing the code of 6 and 8 ??? What is the deal?? CEL is the only light on, and then went off, ABS light was never on?

 

i dunno howur getting codes off ur abs
i was trying to check my cel and my abs was flashing.. but not flashing codes it would just not stop flashing
wha ti did was actually turn on my car and then the check engine would start flashing codes at me
if the car wasnt on the abs jus blinked
i dunno why but its worth a try

 

But in the repair manual it says DON'T start the car?? Put it to the ON position?? can starting it with the clip in thye plug hurt the ECU??

 

i dunno, i dont have a repair manual but thats how i got my check engine to work
now it works everytime.. with the car on
ive searched and someone else did the same thing to get it flashing codes
ive never seen anything else to remedy the problem, and ive done it like that a buncha times and my ecu is still running fine
if you think ull dmg ur car by starting it then its prob not the best idea to start it
but thats how i fixed mine
