1990 CRX Si.

I was replacing my hood release cable when I came across a wire running down along the radiator that was just cut. It was grey, flat and had 3 conductor wires. Tracing it back I found it connects to a largish sensor that is coming out of the block near the transmission. It is below the level of the exhaust manifold and it is close to the 1st oxygen sensor, about 5" away (down and to the left).

For the life of me I cannot find it in the manual. If I had to guess I would say it's an oil level or pressure sensor, but I am not sure as I can't find reference in the manual to either one of those. I am offically stumped.

is it connected to the ac lines? maybe something aftermarket someone installed before you got the car?
