is it possible to be running so rich that im burning out spark?
i think this might be happening? i know im running really rich because its idling at 2in/hg vacuum. im getting spark at all 4 after the wires and im getting fuel. but it sounds like im runnong on only 2 or 3
It can be so rich that the air-fuel mixture simply won't light. Enough of the oxygen molecules need to be able to find the fuel molecules in order for there to be normal combustion.
yeah thats what its got to be. did i mention that im only seeing 2in/hg of vacuum as well? i read that low vacumm will make your car run really rich. but would running rich make a low vacuum? or can i still run rich with a normal vacuum pressure?

Yes.
so running rich would not decrease my vacuum pressure? but low vacuum pressure will cause a motor to run rich? it will only work one way?
