Some Kid has been going around talking about his 1999 civic si. Claims to be pushing 12psi's, his car is pretty much stock besides the turbo and exhaust.. Just wondering would'nt he had blown his stock pistons or something by now??? What is the most psi's he can be pushing with stock engine?? thanks for all help!!!

Are you just bored? Thinking of questions to ask H-T? It all just depends. Most engines won't see the light of day after pushing 12 psi for a long time. But, there's like 100 different factors that will vary the results. Its just like saying,"I put a turbo on my car. Will it break?" In time, yes. Maybe in 200 miles, maybe in 20,000. You can push 18 psi on a stock B16. On race gas, you may get a few passes at the track before you destroy your block. Be more specific!!! Questions like these won't usually go answered unless you have a cause or reason. Pulling a random FI question out of nowhere doesn't help anybody lopoking in the TECH FORUMS...
