Default type r wire harness?

my car wasnt running too well so i took it to a local shop. the wire harness that was in there was all chopped up, whoever did the swap did a shitty job so im gonna get the harness replaced. i bought the car with a type r ecu so the mechanic at the shop said to use a type r wire harness. should i go with that or get a b16 harness or does it not matter?

well judging from your avartar, im guessing you have an ek, the type r wire harnes wont fit, its a 2 piece vs the 1 piece civic harness, so if it is an ek, then use your stock harness or ex/si one.

if its an eg, then yeah, use a type r, gsr, or ex/si one

Yep.
Dont get the '99-'00 si harness, cause the obd2B engine harnesses are different than your obd2A.
