Hey guys, i have a 92 civic cx hatch, and i replaced the front struts and put some coilovers on it, and when i take off, while turning, it makes a pop, im wanting to think that its the fron LCA bushing but im not sure, can someone confirm my judgment?

 

is it just one pop? like when changing the direction of the tires? or going from reverse to forward?

anyway... sounds like a balljoint to me from what you have said. check your balljoints, or take it to a shop to have them correctly checked. mine does the same thing, and its an outer tie rod that is making the noise.

Yes, its just one pop, like when im turning and accelerating, it'll pop, or when i accelerate hard from a stop light.... it just randomly pops

How do i check the ball joints?

 

Reach above the front tire and pull the steering knuckle back and forth (if you can on a lowered car). I had the same issue and it's fixed by replacing the upper control arm that has the upper ball joint. If it moves and makes a sound, then bingo that's it.

It is cause the spring on the coilovers is not under any stress cause its too short.

It pops cause it is not sitting right on the tophat, when you go, it puts some strees on the spring so it "pops" into where it is supposed to go.

I had this problem forever before I figured it out.

 

unbolt the ball joint and check for excessive play - it should be somewhat resistant to movement
