Default OBD2?

I'm planning on using hondata later down the road, and my buddy is practically giving me his P72 gsr ecu, but it's obd2. So correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't use this ecu right? I'd rather be obd1, any ideas? Maybe I'll just sell the ecu, but I know hondata makes a kit for this ecu, but there's no jumper harness for this convertion. throw out your ideas,

What about using the obdo-obd1 and obd2-obd1 harnesses together? Sounds stupid, but it's the only way I can see doing it, with out rewiring the harnesses.
