Default what to do

ok so i am about to get hondata for my 99 si and i dont know what ecu to get because i here everyone gets the p28 and put hondata on that, why cant i put it on my p2t and what is the best ecu to get cause i hear that some ecu's make VTEC "hit harder". thanks for the help

The problem with the p2t is that its obd2, and that makes it difficult. I cant remember if hondata supports that or not, i know crome doesnt. The reason everyone uses p28 is because they're obd1, you'll need a obd2 to obd1 jmper harness though, and since yours is a 99' its obd2a. VTEC will NOT hit harder with any ecu, its simply either in or its out.

like he said u cant use ur ecu b/c its obd2. everyone uses p28's b/c they r the most common they can be found in any 92-95 civic ex or sohc vtec hatches. you can also use the obd1 gsr ecu. and like he said ull need a jumper harness for obd2 to obd1. be prepared to not be able to pass inspection b/c its not ur stock cpu and u r no longer obd2.

^^^ X3!!! in my opinion the p72 obd 1 ecu is the best ...be careful tho there are obd2 variants of the p72 aswell... and say to any hopes of passing a smog test!!!
