so i purcased a 92prelude(oraginally came with an 23non vtec) but some where along the line someone swapped in an 02 h22 motor in it still keeping the H23 Ecu and tranny. i totaled it like a month after i got so im pulling the motor out in putting it in an eg hatch will it be plug and play or is tyhis going to be very difficult. i think that the 92 lude is OBD1 and so is that hatch but the mtor is OBD2
sounds like a fun man, i cant really help but i just wanted to wish you luck, i would look and tell us how the motor is wired into the lude right now, is he using a obd 2 to 1 converter or is hard wired

was the ecu chipped? cuz the h23 was non vtec and the h22 has vtec so... you know the h23 ecu might have trouble engaging vtec since that engine wasn't equipped with said system. i don't know, just wondering. maybe i am just drunk. i will check back tomorrow to see what i am typing. good luck with the swap
hopefully someone knows what i mean. i could be wrong.

Check out the hybrib forum. There you will get an excellent idea on what you are gettin into. This is not a plug and play swap but, its a swap that has been done over and over. There are alot of companies out there that make it alot closer to plug n play all the way from mounts to wiring to even as far as using a B series tranny. I am doing the same swap but into a 99 hatch. I know its alot of work, parts and money but you will be very happy with the results once you get there. But you need patience.
