Default Pedal to the floor and no go!

91' DX dpfi to mpfi conversion obdo (for now) D15B Vtec. only a map code going off, but when I drive the car it is floored to the ground and the car is going like 2mph! WTF is going on? the car is timed right and the distributor is at zero.

The car also dies when I take off. The map code is going off because of the vac. lines. when I had a si motor in there (a d16a6) all was fine. Did I have3 to switch any wires when I swapped the d15b Vtec?

Thanks Ahks! I got the p28 ecu, jumper harness, and the rywire distributor harness as well, I'm just lazy and also wanted to compare the obdo performance to the obd1 for myself. But like I said pedal to the floor and it doesn't go! Guess I will have to do the obd1 conversion swap in order for it to run well.

Have you checked your throttle cable?

Yeah, I still have the old DX one, I have not upgraded to the si one yet. But yeah I adjusted it and when I am in neutral I can rev the **** out of it!, but when I put it in gear a take off it will go like 2 mph floored to the ground!

hold on are you running the full obd1 setup or a obd0/obd1 combo? because the tps sensor and stuff like that require slight rewiring.

check this site it should have everything you need.

Map code = something wrong with map sensor and/or connections. Check to see if you have the right hose connected to the sensor and make sure your vacuum hoses are connected to the right spots.

Had the same thing happen to me and then checked my vacuum diagram and sure enough the power was there after I re-routed some hoses.

I'll do that tech, and high! I don't think my vacum hoses are right, Plus I got to get the right map sensor (just orderd it, the one on the throttle body) so I will check all those things at once. Also I am running all obdo for now but, I have all of my obd1 stuff here now. I will keep you guys posted.

I forgot which vac lines go where, but I think it was the vac line coming off the throttle body to the MAP and the rest is a haze for me. Anyone on here have the correct diagram?

Thanks but I need the one for the D15b vtec or D16z6. The one where the MAP sensor is on the throttle Body.

in order to run a d16z6 correctly do you have to have the map sensor on the throttle body or can you just use the one on firewall/
