Alright, I am having trouble starting my 91 CRX w/ 95 D16Z6. The car ran fine yesterday with no problems except a dead battery.
Come out this morning to a dead battery again, so i drive my truck to work. I come home, jump it, starts up fine. Go driving down the road and it starts jerking when accelerating in first, but fine in other gears.
I drive down the road and it is running fine, accelerate up to the speed limit and the CEL comes on and it starts running very lean when I push the clutch in and sputters. I get it home, look under the hood and see the plug for the IAS or whatever on the back of the IM was off, so I plug it back in. Go to start the car and I get nothing. The lights come on, radio plays and my A/F gauge is wild. I try jumping it, nothing. I hear clicking when starting it, so I have no idea whats wrong with it. What could be wrong?

I am not sure if the battery is fine, I am taking it to get checked today. The plugs I have to check and the wires look fine, almost new. The CEL that was on is now gone b/c I plugged the EACV(sp) plug back in.
My guess its the battery taking a crap, but since the lights and stuff still comes on I don't know. Hopefully not the starter, because then I have to wait for the guy I got the car from to get it shipped to him.

Well the battery is fine. Got it checked and charged at Advance.Put it in the car let it run for about 10 minutes, took the car to the carwash. Washed the car, started it back up and it was a little hard starting, drove home, turned it off and tried turning ot back on. Nothing, battery dead already.
I was told it was a new alternator, I looked at it and it appeared to have oil all over the coils, but I will have to look at my truck's first to make sure that is a bad thing, lol. The belt still looks good. I now need to check all the wiring, hopefully just a easy fix, I hope.
I need to redo all the wiring on the car anyway, the wiring is a hack job. Electrical tape and exposed copper everywhere.

Well I got it working and holding a charge. I sprayed the whole alternator down in Electronic Contact cleaner, pulled the plug out and it had white corrosion all over the plug areas, now its all clean and works.
