Hey what's up? My friend has a 2000 SI civic i've searched on the forums for a problem similar but didn't see one. First a little info on the car then ill tell you the problem. First all if i had went with him as planned i would of told him not to get the car. It has 50k miles on it and it looks and sounds like it's been run thru hell. Apparently the guy before him had it Turbo charged cause there's all this aftermarket junk on there, Msd ignition crap, adjustable fuel pressure switches and gauges, Skunk2 Intake manifold, and w/e else. Well his CEL wont go off in this car. The computer says it has to do with the O2 sensor. we have tried cleaning it and such and it has done nothing then he had some mechanic put some crap on there to bypass it, a mill elimnator or w/e and it also has done nothing. The bad part is he needs a state inspection, and cannot get one with the problems because of emissions. So is there some other thing causing this CEL or should he just be a man about it and cough up 200$ for a new O2 sensor? I think personally its more than just the sensor thats why the person who was selling it was selling it.

which o2 sensor? You said you cleaned the sensor (if you cleaned the right one), have you tried just replacing it?
