how does your coolant look? white smoke means burning coolant. where did the dipstick go? do you have it now? never take it to that shop again

man fella, I wish you lived closer, I would replace your head gasket for you for like 350-400 including parts and you would be driving away by lunchtime.

Sounds like a head gasket to me. And how in the hell is it going to cost you 1000 bucks man? Hell I can do a headgasket for 60 in my damn garage lol. Maybe you should consider investing in a manual and doing it yourself.

i called the dealer im not touching the internal of the engine, i looked at my chiltons said i had to take off the head, exhaust, intake manifold, values all that garbage! im not try to do that on my own beside i needs alot more stuff to i want ot tune her all up before i head off ot college. in my opinion swappin out the motor for a b16 atleast ill get VTEC and also only 30000 on the engine i wont have to worry as much about stuff breaking cause this engines getting up there if you kno what i mean so either like atleast 1600 to tune this one up or spend the 2500 and have a whole new engine? honestly whats more economical cause i kno once im in college moneys not going ot be there and i wont be able to fix stuff so spend a little more now and have a very reliable engine or risk having more issues honestly guys what sounds better. current engine has 140000 on it is a d15b7 the engines showing signs of many hard drives think its time ot retire it and get a VTEC in there!

well man, it sounds to me that you have already made up your mind.

I suggest that if you do get a B16 that you replace the t-belt and tensioner and water pump. Also replace the plugs and wires. Do a leakdown test to make sure that the head gasket and valves are in good shape before you rely too much on it.

is that 2500 including install? i'm assuming you won't be installing the engine if you can't change a headgasket.
