Default obd1 question

Ok i have an obd1 dizzy with obd0 computer and i'm pretty sure reason its throwing codes is because of this exact thing but the mechanic is trying to convince me that the codes are because its a shotty dizzy so can someone confirm this for me about the obd1 dizzy and obd0 ecu

obd1 dist cannot work w/ obd0 ecu and vise-versa.

reason: one of the pickups has 12 teeth for obd1 and the obd0 one has 16. or whatever the actual numbers are, but the reason is accurate.

i dont understand 12 teeth? If i run wires straight to dizzy with no harness your saying it won't work you mean volts or teeth?

teeth... there are gears inside the distributor
are the plugs on your distributor off white or grey?
what ecu are you running?

ok than you have an a6 block with a z6 head with the a6 distributor that is notched on the top leg and the leg in the front of the motor to fit on the head... unless its converted to obd1 in witch case you are not running a pm6

find out what you have for sure than we can help you out

unless the ecu is chiped its impossible to run an obd1 dizzy off of an obd0 ecu

Man look i got an a6 block with a z6 head and z6 dizzy. The a6 dizzy wouldn't fit and won't fit without modification. I got a pm6 ecu and ran the wires straight to each other with no harness if you dont believe me ill take a freaking picture. All i want to know is why it won't work.
