does a 2000 si motor drop right in a 97 hatch no problem like do u have to do any wiring

 

wiring for 99-00 isn't compatible...must use 96-98 harness preferably your stock harness....you'll need the 99-00 back mount off the Si too....96-97 delsol ECU too...other then that your golden..

 

yea i was thinking that then converting to obd 1

i dono what your asking....you can use the 99-00 harness.....but its more hassel then its worth....it includes way more wiring and splicing? your better of just using the 97 DX harness. you can convert to obd1 using a conversion harness after that but i always reccomend using the ecu for the year of the car. I hate those conversion harness's cause i've had bad luck with them.

Use your stock 97 harness
Use conversion harness from obd2a to obd1 with p30 ecu

or use a p30 for obd2a


also you will need the backmount off the Si

i've already put an b16a2 in my car and it ran good....but it was torqueless and i took it out...now i have a b18 in my 98 hatch and it runs CEL Free....gl
