ok this started a month or so ago, when i go to start it i always turn the key on and wait about 5 seconds or so to let the fuel pump kick on, then when i turn the key to start it it just keeps on cranking and cranking, so i turn the key off and try it again, and sometimes the car will start right up, but sometimes it wont, so i tried new plugs and it started right up for a few days, then it started the problem all over again, and now it will just crank and crank but it wont start, has anyone ever had or solved this problem???? i know most people say that it could be the distributor or the fuel pump or the injectors, and ive ordered a new distributor because im going obd1 now, and same with injectors adn fuel pump, and new plugs again and wires, but i wont be getin those for another week or so, so anyone got any ideas??

 

sound like its an ignition problem test the igniter and coil or replace the entire dizzy with know good unit . try ur friends out haha

 

Well sometimes my car won't click the "check engine" light off, it just turns off without the click and I don't hear the fuel pump prime. I know that is because my main fuel relay is all messed up. Although you have slightly different symptoms, that could be a cause? Hope that helps.

 

Sounds alot like what happened when I had a bad main relay.

im thinking your right, i got a spare main relay from a friend, and i just went out to try and start it(I havent swithced them out yet) and i could hear a clicking noise coming from where the main relay is, so im gona go try and swap them right now, and im hoping this solves my problem , and thanks for the replies everyone

 

yeah so i was wrong, i changed the main relay, i am getting fuel, i am getting spark, but no start hhhhmmmmmm

 

Almost sounds like a starter problem to me. Try checking if you have current to the starter.

 

pull out your spark plug holes see if theres any oil in the plugs.. i would also take the cap off check everything out.. cap (if any cracks are noticable) rotor (if the screw is still tight) see if you have any loose wires on the igniter,, from the symptoms you described i would go with a bad igniter they always seem to go without any notice

 

dandizel is a cheat, I tried to purchase an ECU from him and he took my money and did not deliver on the goods

Yo. My boy called me up ronighr and asked me to fix this problem. I couldn't help him cause I didn't know what was going on. Checked dizzy.... Got zapped like a ****, so it wasn't that.

He said the dumbfuck he bought it from fucked around with the taillight wire a few months ago, so he jiggled them and it started right up.... Until now. But he's also a dumbass and I don't know what to believe.

I think it might have something to do with the fuel pump wiring, if that's tied into the taillight...
