Default Check Engine lights, my new idea.

Just a rant.....How about instead of that goddamned amber light shining, leaving one pissed off and wondering, an automated voice come over the radio.....

"Hey you dumb bitch!! You forgot to connect my o2 sensor!!!"

"Hey dipshit!! Why the crazy idle? Reconnect the ******* MAP sensor you *** dumpster!"

You guys get the picture. This pisses me off...

My question:

Anyway to read codes without the aid of a diagnostic scan tool?

Yes. the little connector that looks like a phone jack. jam a paperclip in there and the CEL will blink. count the blinks. LOOONG blink means 10, short means 1. so if you have 2 long and 1 short its code 21. you get the idea. and i agree we need an ecu that says "HEY where the **** is the VSS! its not connected!" or "Vtec's not working your gonna be SLOW HAHA"
