I had the same problem on my 'teg. The easiest thing to do is to drill a small hole in the frame under the spare. It won't hurt the car and water will drain right out.

check the seals on your tail lights. mine were bad and where leaking. if you check them make sure you torque the nuts back on in the right order.

I did the same thing to my other car, not an Integra btw. But although this may solve the problem quickly, I wouldn't recommend drilling a hole. Instead, I'd try and locate where the leak is. It could be the plastic seal (all around the rear hatch trunk), or a crack in the tail lights. They're not cheap to replace though. Dealership will rape you for sure.

EDIT: BTW, why would you pay and go through a car-wash? They're not good for the car.

it's most likely the foam tail light seals. my good friend's gsr had this same problem, he replaced the seals and no more leakage.

The tail lights. I had the same problem. Water was all over the place. Sealed them up and that was that.

everyone says taillights gasket seals, and that is the most likely cause of water in your trunk in tegs. check the seals; if they look worn, have em replaced. but be aware it could be a number of other things. like a drain tube or as a result from a previous collision damage

you could also strip your trunk ..hang out inside while you have a friend spray your car down with a hose

I have the same problem. My tail lights leak. also, my rear passenger side window isn't sealed properly. I just put some clear silicon sealant around it for now. looks like **** but keeps my car dry. I was going nuts trying to follow all the leaks in my car, it is a pain in the ***, huh?

I have the same problem, but cant find the leak. I dont think it is the tailights, because the water trails to the spare. I wonder if it could leak in from the side or what not? Hmmm..

Wow that is alot of water. Have you taken a look at where the rear frame joins the floor. I noticed that there is actually a gap there and water can get through there but the water in your trunk is alot. I could only see this happening if you drove over a lot of puddles.

Thanks for the info, I will check as soon as it stops raining. This only happens on this level like today, when it is really HEAVY rain. Other than that its a small puddle.

Does it only happen when you drive in the rain? Or, does it also happen when you let it sit out in the pouring rain?

Both. I noticed it when I had just cleaned it, let it sit in my driveway, then came back an hour later, and the water was there. Also, when I drive. Anytime when it rains I know I can expect water in my hatch.

Tail Light seals. Bottom line. This is pretty much without a doubt the problem
