i have a 94 civic sedan just had new clutch and trans installed and when i have the clutch in sounds normal but when im sitting at a light or whatever it makes a tapping sound what could it be ? any help would be thankfull-

 

I'm having the same prob. just started doing it recently...bump for some insight...

 

Can you also hear the noise when you take off from a stop or are driving? Did you install a used tranny or a reman? I'm thinking its the input shaft bearing.

 

no tapping when im moving just at complete stops.
