Default sound from clutch or tranny???

i dont know whats making the sound?

i just got a 95 civic with a d16z6 and when i let go of the clutch it makes a sound

i thought it might be the throw out bearing from the clutch but i called the guy that i bought the car from and he said he just replace the clutch with a act clutch kit

do you think it can be the main shaft bearing?

If the clutch is in and it makes a noise it the throwout bearing, if the clutch is out and it makes a noise its the input shaft bearing.

What kind of sound is it? When you let go of the clutch, is it a repeatedly knocking sound or like a squeak/squeal type of thing.

yeah it is more than like the input shaft i have the same problem in mine. Other than the noise it is no big deal though i have had the problem for about 8 or 9 months.
