I've never heard of an exact copy of the Mugen airbox before.

I have never heard of a copy Mugen intake either. Why would you want a cheap imitation anyway?

BTW, Please use punctuation. I got a headache reading your post.

I guess I have 3 suggestions.
1. Buy a used Mugen intake.
2. Learn how to mold fiberglass or carbon fiber and make your own.
3. Buy an Icebox. The 2 intakes have many differences but overall design is somewhat similar.

If that is a knock off its a knock off of the older civic one. Might be a little more difficult to get it to fit an Integra. It also doesn't have the velocity stack or use a large filter like the real integra mugen. Might be what you're looking for though.

Some buggers in the NoVA/MD area got mine when they stole the car!

The Mugen is seemingly the best available, though pricey.
It has a really nice velocity stack that's insice that enclosure.

I think the closest imitation but still of satisfactory quality is the Comptech Icebox.

I had a real one of this and had to sell it. It WILL fit integras, but is not designed to fit with the ABS. It would normally sit close to the fender where all the ABS stuff is on most of our cars.

What is Mugen Intake selling for these days? King has it listed for $715 OUCH!
Are there any other places that have it for sale a little cheaper.

A company in the UK called V-Spec make a mugen intake copy. Its identical to mugen's airbox and is made from real CF. Its pretty expensive for a copy too...$400!!!!!

I've thought long and hard about this for the J's racing intake. Some sort of cover for the filter area and a tube that goes to the same location in the fenderwell area. I've talked to a few people who have made other things out of CF and they say it's pretty much just like laying fiberglass. Now if I can just borrow someones mugen intake.....
