I have a 96 honda civic ex and I droped in a b16a2 motor in it. Since then I cant figure out why the check engine light wont come off and everywhere I go when they hook it up to their machines they cant read any codes. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem??

 

what is your ecu setup? did you try to pull the codes by jumping the service connector?

 

Are you using an obd1 or 2 ecu?

 

No I have not tried that yet. How would I go about doing that?

 

what ecu are you running, what harness did you use?

sounds like you're obd1. That would cause that problem.

 

I am running a P-28 ecu and I also have the P-30 that came with the motor.
