It could be some special grease for conduction someone else might have but there. What is the history?

Close but opposite. Dielectric grease is what you put around your spark plugs and leads. It stops the conduction of electricity.

I don't know the name of that grease.

no real history. the car is a 95 integra. I just want to make sure that wont be a problem in the future, or some type of build up i needed to pay attention to.

its normal, they come on all the integras and civic like that. on certain plugs in the harness, on the fuse box plugs, the headlight plugs, its just a lubricant to prevent rust and oxidation on major electrical areas.

^^ is the answer. It's a non hydroscopic grease to keep moisture out of the contacts. It's a great improvement that helped reliability tremendously here in the "rust belt"

... and right you are!

hy·gro·scop·ic (adj.) Readily absorbing moisture, as from the atmosphere.

You know I have had that word mangled for a 33 year professional career! The odds of me keeping it straight now are... zero and none...

Thanks for the correction.
