Default Battery help!!!

so my car has been sitting in the garage for probaly 2 days after i took it out last, i had been replacing my ECT sensor. When i go to start my car i turn the key and nothing happens..the ECU clicks once or twice...i painted my valve cover also but sanded down the ground point so its metal on metal...what could be wrong? this is also the 3rd battery ive been threw probaly in a year...

all of my grounds are connected properly.

the headlights turn on and are as bright as normal.
Radio turns on.
Gauge cluster lights turn on.
just the starter wont even crank.

is it the battery?
anything else i should check for before taking the battery to autozone to get it checked out?

anyhelp is much appreciated , thanks!

I would think the problem is just your starter, if your lights and everything powers up just fine and your fuel pump primes. Try having someone tap on it lightly while you try to start. Or pull the starter out, leaving it wired up, and find out if it spins when trying to start.

i found out the problem it was a bad ground i dont know if it came off or what so i replaced all of the grounds and it fixed the problem.
i was also recommended to check the main relay...so if anyone else is having a similar problem and its not the grounds it could possibly the main relay.
