Default From d15b7 to D15b swap, WHO has the TPS problem?

first off heres my car stock:
1994 civic DX 2 door NON vtec D15B7 SOHC.

Bought a D15B VTEC JDM SHC motor, swapped it using my existing wire harness( the stock D15B7 harness) VTEC is not wired up and Im still using my stock ECU.

staryt the car up and I get CEL, I test it I get code 7: TPS sensor. Swap the GOOD TPS sensor from my OLD d15B7 stock motor and CEL is still on ( yes I reset the ECU by pulling the ECU fuse AND unhooking Ground for 10 minuts)

Start car, CEL pops on then Idle rises.

Like I said, car runs Fine, but the idle at idle is Higher than normal and I HATE CEL.

Now let me tell you what I noticed different from my stock D15B7 non vtec to the D15b vtec motor.....

the intake mannifold, On the D15b7 (stock motor) it has on the driver side on the intake manny a small sensor called the Purge sylenloid ? it has a tube running fromt he sensor to the canistor(black cylinder tank thing) on passanger side firewall, and a vaccume line comming right off the intake mannifold to the sensor, The D15B vtec However Did NOT have this sensor nor vaccume line for the sensor. ont he wire harness this (purge?) synlenloid sensor connector is just hanging ( which I know is usless its for emissions)

I wanted to post this to see if anyone else had this probel with there D15B vtec swap? My buddy did the same swp and he says he doesnt know why TPS Code pops up and idles high eather.

make sure map sensor and tps plugs arent swapped, they are the same plug and can get swapped.

not possible, the tps sensor wireis not long enough to reach the MAP sensor, have already looked at that.

Have you made sure that the TPS is adjusted correctly? I had the same issue and just needed to reposition the TPS slightly...

i had the same problem, Disconnect the 3P connector from the TPS, Turn Ignition on, Measure the Voltage between the YEL&WHI (+) and the GRN&WHI (-) Terminal, There should be about 5 volts. -IF THERE IS- Turn ignition off, reconnect 3p connector, Connect the TEST HARNESS between the ECU and connector, turn igniton on, measure voltage between D11 (+) and D22(-) terminals on the ECU, Voltage should be 0.5 V @ close throttle & around 4.5 at full open throttle, if still nothing, get an ecu you know works, and recheck.
IF THERE ISNT ABOUT 5 VOLTS: Measure between YEL&WHI (+) and Ground, 5 Volts? if yes, check for split in GRN&WHI wire between ECU and TPS.
IF NO: Turn Ignition off, connect Test Harness between ECU, Turn Ignition on, Measure voltage between D20(+) and D22(-) 5 Volts? if YES, Check for split in YEL&WHI wire between ECU and TPS.
IF STILL NO: Well then BROTHA YOU NEED A NEW ECU!

i hope you can follow this and it helps, mine was a beeyotch

dont know about the tps thing. but for the manifold canister stuff, go down to petland and get some t-splitters, there for fishtanks air pumps, and cut one of the smaller vac lines stick the t inbetween and run a vac line to the canister, i had the same problem on my jdm d16a vtec swap.

i was gettin 21 miles per gallon. after i fixed it with the t thing milage went up to 33mpg

wait a minut, what are you talking about? The "purge" sylenoid? you saying it has to have vac or has to be hooked up to the canister? As it stands now the sylenoid is not getting VAC at all......

ok, i solved the TPS CEL and are getting no coes at all now!

it had something to do with the Thottle body I think, I swapped out the D15B intake manny and thorttle body with a D15B7 that I polished, and ported the ports......

Although, now I am hearing a "humming" comming from the throttle body (intake) and when I slow down at a stop sign after shifting, the car like "shakes" like the RPM's Dropped dramatically, then returns to normal. so thats a NEW problem. What do ya think?
