My stock LS; 26 mph city, 31 highway
My b16 swap with I/IM/H/E; 26 city, 27 highway

The only reason my b16 doesn't get good mpg highway, is because of the trans, making me cruise at 5000 all the time down the interstate. If I cruise at 65 mph, it'll get 31, but I can't drive that slow on the interstate, it's annoying.

I go between 85-90 down the interstate. I've driven between Hilton Head, and the North Carolina/Virginia border on 95, and I've seen maybe two cops on the past three trips. Depending on the road, if I get a good flat road with a lot of trees in the median, I'll do 110-120. If I pass a cop, by the time he pulls out, I'm already a half-mile down the road, and then he has to get up to 120, and by then, I'm gone. But to answer your question, yes, I do go 85 average down the interstate. Plus, I always make the trip at night. I never go that fast during the day, cause its dangerous to other traffic. At 1am, there are practically no cars. And no cops.

No matter, a blowout at that speed will land you on it though. And don't tell me it doesnt happen, because i only work 50 hours a week and i've seen it

Stay safe, dont race ghosts on the street.

Yes, a blowout at this speed will kill you. I'm a mechanic, and I keep my car extremely maintained. I have perfect alignment, good tires (BFG G-Force KDW-2's like on the SRT-4's) that are in perfect balance, and my suspension is in great shape. I check my tire pressure once a week. I know its not a smart thing to go that fast. That's why I only do it in spurts. I'm never above 100 for more than a minute. Like I said, I average about 85 mph. The average speed on 95 at night is about 85-90. So I'm keeping up with traffic most of the time.
