searched but not really what i'm looking for. its an 00 EK. the horn isnt working and i cant pass inspection. there's no wires going from the steering wheel to the dash. where does that yellow plug go to, it seems like theres nothing for it to plug into. any help would be nice, i can try to get better pics if you want. if you see something missing tell me.

i could be wrong, but dont yellow plugs usually have something to do with the SRS system? I would be careful messing with that.

Did your horn just stop working? Is there any other electrical things not working, check your fuses.

the horn wires are integrated through the SRS cable reel, your reel may be broken or rubbed threw over time

Correct.

Does the key have to be on for the horn to work? I can't remember. Maybe I'll check when I leave the office.

Looks like the airbag is unplugged I would take the car back to where you bought it from and get your money back.

Shouldn't. It should be Constant Power.

true. I had the same problem. I bought a new horn from NAPA for like 20-25 bucks, took off my bumper and put a volt-meter thing to different places along the wires from the horn to the relay to the fuse box to the connection to the horn. Replaced the fuse even though it didn's look blown (it was), and replaced the horn. It ended up being a combo...broken airhorn motor thing along with a blown fuse.

Yup. Verified in my own car after work. I have seen people fail because of this though.

Sounds like he took the cable reel off and added the hub. You'll have to get one from the junk yard or the dealer to connect it.

Or you could just hardwire the horn to a button on the dash. As long as you can reach it, it should be leagal.

I am guessing the name implies it's it peice of hardwar that couples two electrical points and allows for rotation.
