Default Car bogging in a left turn

My friend has a 98 LS with a SRI. Recently his car has started bogging, and when he starts to turn left, the revs drop too about 2500 RPM's. As soon as he straightens the car out, it revs normally.

its also recently started dying after a few seconds of idling

Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have any thoughts?

My car was bogging for a while under too much acceleration at low rpm's. That was due to the Cat being old and clogged. I now run an open cat with an O2 simulator on the secondary O2 sensor and have no problems. Check the ECU for codes, as far as the cornering aspect having an affect on the cars bogging I would say that there is a fuel problem - pump? filter? I dunno just my .02.
